We talked about football and the World Cup today, I hope in addition to learning Chinese, everyone also gets to learn about the different interests people have. Thank you, Ibrahim.

You can say我支持阿根廷，which means “I support Argentina”
Which team do you support?

Ibrahim, please teach us the Arabic phrase most commonly used when watching a match.
Ibrahim: hadaf

(A brief self-introduction)

Level 1

Tasneem: repeat（媽mā麻má馬mǎ罵mà）
Tasneem: I think the first one.
Sharon:

Level 2

Tasneem: repeat
Can you please teach me how to say these numbers in Arabic?
Tasneem:
Sharon: Every language has its own challenges. I think we're even now!

Final Challenge

Sharon: So far so good.
Tasneem
Tasneem:ok
Here we go「44隻石獅子」
Tasneem: repeat（sì shí sì zhī shí shī zi）

Closing
It’s ok if you can’t say it the first time. Keep practicing, and you’ll get better every day.

Alaa

Opening

Alaa: There are many traditional foods in Syria, especially in the city of Aleppo, which is famous for its delicious food such as kibbeh, kebab, yabraq, and stuffed vegetables.

They all sound delicious

Alaa: We eat these foods on ordinary days, as well as at parties, large banquets, and holidays.

Not just for special occasions, people enjoy them in everyday life, too.

Alaa: I love kibbeh so much because it's delicious, and there are many varieties, including fried and grilled, served with yogurt or tomato and lemon sauce, and baked in a tray. It's delicious in all its forms.

4.原來一道菜可以有這麼多不同的做法，so many different ways to cook.

Alaa: My mother and grandmother do it wonderfully and I learned it from them, but I think I do it even better than they do.

I can’t wait to try.

Alaa: I believe that the dish that represents Syria is grilled kibbeh because it is unique and specific to Syria, and there is also kebab which has a special taste.

Alaa: It can be said in Arabic

Closing

Alaa: I found this Chinese phrase about food and I liked it. "Food is the most important thing for people".

(A brief self-introduction: your name, where are you from, and what you do)

Hello everyone! My name is Abdullah, I’m 16 years old, and I'm a student. I love using my spare time to learn languages and open new portals to the world.

Watashi wa Abudora desu. Jūroku-sai desu. Sakkā to rāmen ga daisuki desu. Dōzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

Wǒ jiào Abdullah, wǒ shíliù suì, wǒ shì xuéshēng. Wǒ xǐhuan zúqiú, wǒ xǐhuan lāmiàn. Suǒyǐ, wǒ xiànzài měitiān liànxí sānshí fēnzhōng Zhōngwén. Hànyǔ hěn nán, dànshì hěnyǒu yìsi. Wǒ xǐhuan shuō Zhōngwén, wǒ yě xǐhuan kàn Zhōngguó wěidà de, lìshǐ. Jīntiān, wǒ xiǎng hé dàjiā fēnxiǎng wǒ de Zhōngwén gùshì.

Talking about language learning
(How old did you start learning other languages?)

"Shìde, wǒ shì liǎngnián qián kāishǐ xuéxí, qí,tā de yǔyán. Nàshíhou wǒ shísì suì. Yīnwèi wǒ xiǎng hé hěnduō péngyou shuōhuà, yě xiǎng jiāo xīn de péngyou. Měitiān dōu yào liànxí, dànshì kāishǐ yǐhòu, jiù bù xiǎng tíng le. Xiànzài, kàndào wǒ xuéle zhème duō, wǒ juéde hěn gāoxìng!

(Why do you like learning languages?)

Zhōngwén hěnnán, dànshì hěnyǒu yìsi. Wǒ xǐhuan liànxí Zhōngwén, yīnwèi wǒ xiǎng hé péngyou shuōhuà. Wǒ shíliù suì, dànshì wǒ xiǎng měitiān dōu liànxí. Wǒ zìjǐ liànxí. Wǒ shuō, duì de shíhou, wǒ hěn gāoxìng. Zhè hěnnán, dànshì hěnbàng!

(What is your favorite Chinese sentence

Wǒ zuì xǐhuan de huà shì 'Wǒ ài Zhōngwén'. Zhèjù huà hěn jiǎndān, dànshì tā ràng wǒ jìxù xuéxí Zhōngwén. Wǒ shuō de hěnhǎo de shíhou, wǒ hěn gāoxìng. Wǒ zìjǐ shuō: hěnbàng!

(What makes you happiest when learning a language?)

Wǒ zuì gāoxìng de shíhou, shì shuōhuà de shíhou péngyou kěyǐ tīngdǒng. Wǒ zìjǐ zài jiā liànxí 'xuéshēng' zhè gè cí. Wǒ liànxí le èrshí fēnzhōng! Yī kāishǐ wǒ shuō de bùhǎo, dànshì wǒ bù xiǎng fàngqì. Xiànzài, wǒ shuō de hěnhǎo, dàjiā dōu kěyǐ tīngdǒng. Wǒ hěn gāoxìng, wǒ juéde hěnbàng!

(If someone start learning a new language, what do you recommend should learn first?)

You: "Hmm, duì (Hmm, right), I actually don't agree with the standard advice. Many people say you should learn numbers like yī, èr, sān (one, two,* three) first, dànshì (but) numbers alone do nothing for real communication. Xiàn zài (now), my advice is to master the absolute foundation and the most common words of the language. For example, focus on functional words like shì (to be), hé (and), chī (to eat), shuō (to speak), yīnwèi (because), and qǐngwèn (exc
use me). Once you understand these core pieces, you just add wǒ (I) in front of them, and you can instantly make a complete sentence! That is the fastest way to start speaking."

(Please use Chinese and Japanese to teach us a sentence that is most suitable for a beginner.)

Xiànzài, wǒ de jiànyì shì: xiān xué zuì chángyòng de cí. Bǐfāng shuō, hǎo yòng de cí xiàng shì, hé, chī, shuō, yīnwèi, hé qǐngwèn. Once you understand these core pieces, you just add wǒ in front of them, and you can instantly make a complete sentence! Bǐfāng shuō: "Wǒ xǐhuan zúqiú." That means "I like football." That is the fastest way to start speaking. Dànshì if you want to say it in Japanese, it's the exact same simple trick! You just take the word you like and add 'ga suki desu'. So you can say: 'Rāmen ga suki desu'. Xiànzài, anyone listening can instantly make a full sentence in two languages!"

(Have you ever wanted to give up? How did you keep going?)
